DC residents under 21 are required to visit a healthcare practitioner for a recommendation.

DC residents 21 or older may choose to self-certify without seeing a healthcare practitioner.

Registrations are valid for up to two years from the date of issuance

Patients with a valid registration from their U.S. state or territory’s medical cannabis program are eligible for reciprocity.

Non-DC residents can now choose from five valid periods when registering for a temporary medical cannabis card:

1. Submit the Non-DC Resident Medical Cannabis Patient Application.
2. After submission, you will immediately receive an email with a payment link to complete your registration.

📩 Digital Registration:

• Upon payment, you will promptly receive a digital registration via email, which can be used immediately.
• You will not receive a physical card—only the digital registration sent to your email.

⚠️ Important Tips:

• Please do not submit multiple applications. If you don’t receive a payment link or registration, contact: xyz@gmail.com.
• We recommend completing the application the week before your dispensary visit, so we can assist with any issues while ABCA is open.
• If you are applying for another month of the Non-Resident Visitor’s Pass, you must submit a new application and use the new payment link.
• Do not reuse your first application or payment link.

🌍 Reciprocity Reminder:

• Patients extended reciprocity through their home state’s program do not need to apply to ABCA.
• However, they must maintain active patient registration in their state or territory.
• Patients with expired registrations may apply for a temporary Non-DC Resident Medical Cannabis Patient Registration.
